FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Fort Lauderdale CF and Chattanooga Red Wolves SC both scored in the first half to split the points in a mid-table clash at Inter Miami CF Stadium on Saturday night.

After an early spell of pressure by the Red Wolves, Fort Lauderdale settled into the match, and took the lead on 26 minutes. A cross whipped in from a short corner flicked off the head of the unfortunate Ricardo Zacarias and into the Chattanooga forward's own net.

15-year-old Felipe Valencia nearly doubled Fort Lauderdale's lead in some style ten minutes later, but the post denied the USL's youngest-ever goal scorer the second tally of his career.

Ualefi would pull the Red Wolves level with a powerful strike before halftime. The Brazilian forward rushed on to low pull-back by Amirgy Pineda and smashed home a blistering first-time finish to send the two sides into the locker rooms level.

Both sides looked strong defensively through the second 45 minutes, but ultimately neither truly dialed up the intensity going forward in search of a winner. The 1-1 final result doesn't do too much for Chattanooga or Fort Lauderdale, who now sit in fifth and seventh places respectively.

Fort Lauderdale will host Floridian rivals Orlando City B next weekend in search of three points to kickstart a run at the playoff places, while the Red Wolves continue their road swing with a midweek trip north to take on New England Revolution II - a must-win match if Chattanooga is to continue its pursuit of a spot in the 2020 League One Final.
