TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One goalkeepers recorded 158 saves in the first full month of the league’s second season. You chose six of the best stops from August in the weekly polls, now you get to decide which of those earns the title of Fans’ Choice Save of the Month.

USL League One Fans’ Choice Save of the Month Finalists – August

Austin Aviza (ORL) - #TRMvORL, 8/1/20: MLS SuperDraft pick Austin Aviza was quick to get off his line and make himself big to deny Marco Micaletto after the midfielder was played through on goal in Orlando’s 2-0 loss to Tormenta FC.

Dylan Castanheira (FTL) - #TRMvFTL, 8/8/20: Castanheira dove full stretch to his left to keep Nil Vinyals’ first-time effort that looked destined for the top corner out. The fingertip save proved decisive as Fort Lauderdale CF picked up its first win in club history, defeating Tormenta FC 2-1 in Statesboro.

Joe Rice (NE) - #NTXvNE, 8/15/20: Rice reacted quickly to get his right foot to Ronaldo Damus’ first-time shot from three yards out, denying the reigning Golden Boot winner his second goal in the 3-3 draw between Revolution II and North Texas SC.

Dallas Jaye (GVL) - #GVLvFTL, 8/22/20: Jaye saw Eduardo Sosa’s shot well and dove to his left to parry away the waist-high shot from the top of the penalty area to preserve his fifth clean sheet of the season.

Pablo Jara (TRM) - #ORLvTRM, 8/28/20: Jara made a brilliant save to deny Mason Lamb’s first-time shot from 12 yards out, getting his top hand to the powerful strike to tip it wide in the 1-1 draw between Tormenta FC and Orlando City B.   

Sam Howard (OMA) - #OMAvTUC, 8/29/20: Howard closed out quickly and got a strong right hand to Azaad Liadi’s shot from six yards out in Union Omaha’s 2-1 win over FC Tucson at Werner Park.
