FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - A ruthless attacking performance ensured a comfortable road win for Forward Madison FC on Friday night at Gillette Stadium, as the Flamingos beat New England Revolution II 4-0 to earn their first victory of the season away from home.

An intelligent bit of thinking by Forward Madison's Michael Vang was the difference after the first 45 minutes. Six minutes before the break, Revs II goalkeeper Joe Rice (who made a brilliant save moments earlier to keep Madison off the board) played a goal kick quickly to New England defender Maciel.

Vang was alert to the opportunity, and Maciel was unaware of his presence. The 19-year-old stole the ball and dinked it cleverly over the onrushing Rice to put the Flamingos ahead.

Madison then took advantage of an indirect free kick in the box on 61 minutes. Defender Josiah Trimmingham hammered a shot into a crowd of Revolution II defenders, and it caromed off of New England's Collin Verfurth last before trickling into the net to double Madison's lead.

Newly-arrived loanee Adolfo Ovalle fired in Madison's third from distance in the 88th and Wojciech Wojcik added another in stoppage time to complete the rout, lifting Forward Madison into fourth place and within two points of second-place Richmond (having played one more game than the Kickers). After a slow start to the League One season, the Flamingos are now unbeaten in four matches.

The result keeps New England at the foot of the table. Revs II welcome Chattanooga Red Wolves to Gillette Stadium for a midweek clash next week, while Madison face a tough trip to league leaders Greenville Triumph SC.
