USL League One Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 5

Three quality stops to choose from, which gets your vote?

TAMPA, Fla. – League One goalkeepers were called into action often in Week 5, combining to make 31 saves across five matches. We picked out three of the best saves of the week, now you get to vote on which one will earn USL League One Fans’ Choice Save of the Week.

Voting will continue through 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday, August 21.

Joe Rice (NE) - #NTXvNE, 8/15/20: Rice reacted quickly to get his right foot to Ronaldo Damus’ first-time shot from three yards out, denying the reigning Golden Boot winner his second goal in the 3-3 draw between Revolution II and North Texas SC.

Carlos Merancio Valdez (TUC) - #RICvTUC, 8/15/20: Merancio Valdez dove quickly to his left to get a hand to Ryley Kraft’s dipping effort in the second half of FC Tucson’s 2-1 loss to the Richmond Kickers.   

Dallas Jaye (GVL) - #GVLvCHA, 8/15/20: Jaye used strong hands to parry away Alexi James’ curling effort from the right side of the penalty area with four minutes remaining in Greenville’s 1-0 win over Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
