Forward Madison FC has signed attacker Noah Fuson for the 2020 League One season, the club announced Monday afternoon. The 20-year old, who joins the second-year side on his first professional contract, can play as either a striker or a winger.

“We’re excited to add Noah to our group,” Madison Head Coach Daryl Shore said. “We think he’s going to add another dimension to our ability to score goals and stretch defenses. He has a really good knack for the goal and he’s scored some really good ones in training.”

A Los Angeles native, Fuson moved to the i2i Soccer Academy in England after completing high school to jump start his professional career. Prior to signing with Forward Madison, Fuson was on trial with USL Championship clubs Sacramento Republic FC and Loudoun United FC.

“I kept my head up, kept working and had faith that a team would come through,” Fuson said. “I came in [to Forward Madison] and from the first day, with the energy and the people that were here, I already felt at home. I felt like I could definitely see myself playing here.”

Fuson was in training with the Flamingos for two weeks prior to signing his first professional contract. He’ll join the likes of Wojciech Wojcik, Don Smart, Michael Vang, and Paulo Jr., who combined for four goals in the club’s last match, as Shore’s attacking weapons.

“I’m a guy who likes to dribble at players, attack, be creative, do some skills, entertain the fans and put on a show,” he said. “I’m really happy to be here. I’m excited to get started.”

Forward Madison currently sits seventh in USL League One standings after picking up its first win of the season last Saturday. The Flamingos travel to play second-place Union Omaha this Wednesday, August 19.
