Omaha’s Vanacore-Decker claims Player of the Week honors after leading victory in Tucson

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One announced the Team of the Week Presented by Cleer Audio for Week 4 of the 2020 regular season on Tuesday, with Union Omaha’s Ethan Vanacore-Decker earning Player of the Week honors following his performance in Los Buhos’ 2-1 victory on the road against FC Tucson on Saturday night.

Vanacore-Decker notched a goal and assist to lead the visitors to victory as Omaha moved into second place in the League One standings with its second consecutive win. The former Sporting Kansas City II forward also had four shots and three chances created in the win.

GK – Dallas Jaye, Greenville Triumph SC: Jaye recorded a two-save shutout and completed 22 of 27 passes to help Triumph SC earn a 1-0 victory last Wednesday night against South Georgia Tormenta FC.

D – Ian Antley, Richmond Kickers: Antley recorded one assist and two chances created in attack, and won 8 of 11 duels, six clearances and won 4 of 5 tackles as the Kickers earned a shutout victory against Forward Madison FC.

D – Mateo Rodas, Orlando City B: Rodas completed 38 of 55 passes, won 12 of 20 duels and 4 of 5 tackles, and recorded three interceptions in Orlando’s 2-0 victory against the New England Revolution II.

D – Luke Hauswirth, Union Omaha: Hauswirth scored the opening goal, completed 24 of 30 passes, and recorded four clearances, two interceptions and five recoveries in Los Buhos’ victory against FC Tucson.

M – Eduardo Sosa, Fort Lauderdale CF: Sosa had one assist, three shots and six chances created while completing 26 of 32 passes overall and winning 13 of 16 duels in Fort Lauderdale’s 2-1 victory against South Georgia Tormenta FC.

M – Emiliano Terzaghi, Richmond Kickers: Terzaghi scored the lone goal, had one key pass and had three shots overall as Richmond edged out Henny Derby rival Forward Madison FC at City Stadium.

M – Josue Soto, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: Soto had one assist, completed 25 of 31 passes overall, won 4 of 7 duels and made one interception and four recoveries in the Red Wolves’ 2-2 draw against North Texas SC.

F – Moises Tablante, Orlando City B: Tablante recorded a pair of assists, had six chances created overall and completed 15 of 19 passes while also recording three interceptions and nine recoveries in his side’s victory against the Revolution II.

F – Ethan Vanacore-Decker, Union Omaha: Vanacore-Decker recorded one goal and one assist, had four shots and three chances created overall and completed 3 of 3 dribbles in Omaha’s 2-1 road victory against FC Tucson.

F – Greg Hurst, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: Hurst recorded one goal and assisted the Red Wolves’ late equalizer, while also winning 4 of 7 duels and recording two interceptions in his side’s 2-2 draw with North Texas SC.

F – Benjamin Redzic, North Texas SC: Brought on as a halftime substitute, Redzic notched both goals for North Texas, completed 15 of 17 passes and recorded two chances created in NTSC’s 2-2 draw with Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
