Srbely registered a team-high five assists in 2019 despite playing in only 18 matches.
Toronto FC II has re-signed midfielder Matthew Srbely for the 2020 season, the club announced Monday. Srbely, who has been a part of the Toronto FC organization since 2013, made 18 League One appearances for TFC II in 2019.
Srbely played a key role in Toronto FC II’s midfield in 2019, scoring four goals and adding a team-high five assists. The 6-0 central midfielder also ranked among the club’s most accurate passers with a 85.62% passing accuracy and created 24 chances. Srbely was selected to the League One Team of the Week three times during the 2019 season.
A native of Brampton, Canada, Srbely made his debut for TFC II in 2017 when the club was competing in the USL Championship. Since his debut, he has made 51 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and registering eight assists.
Srbely joined the Toronto FC Academy in 2013.
