Fund will support Feed More and Local Healthcare Workers through Bon Secours

The Richmond Kickers have partnered with WTVR CBS 6 to launch the #RallyTogether fund, the club announced Thursday afternoon. The #RallyTogether fund will support both Feed More and local Bon Secours healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout the campaign, fans can purchase $10 rally towels with the proceeds going to support Feed More. The rally towel purchase also includes a complimentary ticket to a Richmond Kickers match and a ticket donation to local healthcare workers through Bon Secours.

“Our Richmond Kickers family is excited to lead the #RallyTogether effort as we work with our community partners at CBS 6, Bon Secours, and Feed More to assist in providing meals to local RVA families,” said Richmond Kickers Chairman Rob Ukrop. “We are also excited to provide a ticket to a local healthcare professional with each purchase of a rally towel as we look to celebrate the beautiful game together at City Stadium.”

Before the COVID-19 pandemic increased the need for essential services like Feed More, central Virginia was already in great need. Feed More’s programs are dedicated to providing healthy meals and hope for a better tomorrow to Central Virginians who face hunger. For every $1 donated, Feed More is able to provide four meals to those in need. In total, Feed More’s programs and network of agencies provide more than 52,000 meals each day to neighbors in need across 34 counties and cities across Central Virginia.

“CBS 6 is proud to be a part of the Richmond Kickers' Rally Towel fundraiser for Feed More,” said WTVR CBS 6 General Manager Stephen Hayes. “During these challenging times, there is no time better to ‘rally’ together for great causes!"

With the support of the community, Feed More’s programs distribute nutritious meals and wholesome food to the neighbors who need it most. With one in seven Central Virginians struggling with hunger, Feed More’s programs aim to help our neighbors when they need a hand up.
