Down to the final four teams, which two will take their place in Saturday’s Final?

Four team remain standing in the Semifinals of the USL eCup: Rocket League Edition after a hard-fought set of Quarterfinals over the past two nights. The two matchups offer a contrast in styles of sorts, which could make for compelling action tonight on ESPN3 as we find out which two teams will be left standing to square off in Saturday’s Final.

Tacoma Defiance vs. FC Tucson

Quarterfinals: 3-0 vs. PHI
64 goals, 12,533 pts

Thursday, April 23
7:00 p.m. ET

Quarterfinals: 3-0 vs. STL
179 goals, 28,743 pts
The Breakdown: FC Tucson continued to light up the tournament in its Quarterfinal victory as Trent Wieland approached 200 goals for the tournament in his victory against Saint Louis FC. There’s a chance the same could happen against the Defiance, too, but Tacoma’s Josh Atencio’s patient game and sturdy defense that has notched 19 saves over his first five contests has been tricky for opponents to handle. Tucson will enter a heavy favorite to move on, but the Defiance should prove the toughest opponent it has faced thus far and if everything falls right could spring a surprise.

San Antonio FC vs. Union Omaha

Quarterfinals: 3-0 vs. CHS
119 goals, 19,622 pts

Thursday, April 23
8:30 p.m. ET

Quarterfinals: 3-0 vs. BHM
126 goals, 20,320 pts
The Breakdown: The numbers indicate we’re in for a treat when San Antonio’s Josh Richards and Union Omaha’s Wesley Mims square off, with both players having produced plenty of goals throughout the tournament so far. The key to the game, though, may come in the defensive end for both squads. In SAFC’s victory against Charleston on Wednesday night, Richards showed off his ability to not only win by racking up goals, but also by denying his opponents scoring chances to the tune of 20 saves in the tourmanent. Mims has got plenty of firepower behind him, though, which means it’s anyone’s guess as to how this turns out.
