TAMPA, Fla. – The Charleston Battery’s Mauro Cichero has been named the USL eCup: Rocket League Edition Player of the Week for Week 3 of the tournament. Cichero put in an impressive three-game sweep against Reno 1868 FC in the Round of 16 to advance to the Quarterfinals of the tournament, which kick off on Tuesday night on ESPN3.

Cichero put in another impressive performance to open the knockout stage as he accumulated 32 goals and eight saves in defeating 1868 FC’s Matt Rafferty, who had been a winner in his lone previous outing in the tournament. Cichero racked up 7,544 points in the process, building momentum ahead of the Battery’s contest with San Antonio FC.

Cichero is joined in the USL eCup Week 2 Power Pack by his likely opponent in Wednesday night’s Quarterfinal in San Antonio FC’s Josh Richards, who put in another stellar display while outscoring Phoenix Rising FC 33-3 and notching 13 saves to advance.
