Shares His Thoughts on the Club in the Wake of COVID-19

Friends,

This is a time like no other. It almost feels like a Sci-Fi film.

Soccer has always been the vehicle I have proclaimed as the universal language and the only true global phenomenon. But now we have this pandemic - and it impacts the world over.

Our club has pushed hard this offseason hiring a new head coach, refreshing the squad with new players, and establishing a new team attitude. Our staff has created new ticket perks while re-imagining an improved game day experience. Massive stadium investment and improvements are being completed. This momentum has been accelerating to a crescendo, only to be stopped in its tracks by COVID-19.

Even in this time of “social distancing,” our staff continues to work together preparing for what looks like an unusual beginning to the 2020 season. We will continue to be a part of the lifeblood of the RVA community while staying engaged with the best fans in the league, even with the delayed start to the League One season.

Stronger Together resonates even in isolation. Keep in touch with us. Let us know how we can help you. We are here for this community and this city. Our social media channels are open on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Feel free to email any of our staff with any questions

In the meanwhile - be safe, be hopeful, and be joyful in your own way.

Go Richmond,
Matt Spear
