South Georgia Tormenta FC has signed defender Stefan Mueller, the club announced Tuesday. Mueller officially joins Tormenta FC after spending the entirety of the 2020 preseason with the South Georgia club. 

“Stefan has shown himself to be a brilliant addition to our locker room and on the field,” Tormenta FC Head Coach John Miglarese said. “His ability to defend and build attacks from the left back position is a very important addition to our team this season.”

Prior to joining Tormenta FC, Mueller played professionally for Southport FC in England’s National League North in addition to playing in Germany at the amatuer level.

"I’m incredibly excited and grateful to be part of Tormenta FC and can’t wait to get the season underway,” Mueller said. “Since the first day I arrived in Statesboro, I have been impressed with the quality of the owners, staff, and players and am looking forward to a successful year."

Mueller spent his collegiate career at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The East Northport, New York native scored one goal and tallied four assists in 70 matches for the Owls.
