Greenville Triumph SC has signed forward Lachlan McLean and defenders Cesar Murillo and Trevor Swartz, the club announced Wednesday.

Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, McLean was a standout center forward in the U-20 National Premier League in New South Wales, combining for 50 goals in 61 games across three seasons. McLean’s nose for goal helped bring him to the United States, where he played two collegiate seasons at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.

During his time at SIUE, McLean earned Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman Team and All-Mac First Team honors. He scored 20 goals and added nine assists in 62 matches for the Cougars.

Cesar Murillo joins the Triumph after helping North Texas SC win the inaugural regular season and USL League One titles. Murillo appeared in 13 matches for NTSC in the club’s first season, making seven starts. Prior to signing his first professional contract with North Texas, Murillo was an all-conference defender at the College of Charleston.

Trevor Swartz also brings League One experience to Greenville. The Cameron Park, California native played six matches for Toronto FC II in 2019. Prior to his stint in Toronto, Swartz was a three-year starter for Indiana University. Swartz scored 12 goals and added 27 assists in his four seasons as a Hoosier.
