FC Tucson has signed forward Azaad Liadi, the club announced Wednesday. Liadi joins FCT after completing his collegiate career at Georgia Southern University.
Liadi signs his first professional contract with FC Tucson following a four-year college career. The 6-1 forward played his first three seasons at NCAA Division II school, Saginaw Valley State where he scored 11 goals and tallied five assists in 56 matches.
Liadi transferred to Division I school Georgia Southern University for his senior season. The Sterling Heights, Michigan native scored one goal and added an assist to help the Golden Eagles make the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
Following his senior season, Liadi played 14 matches for USL League Two side Cincinnati Dutch Lions. He tallied one goal and one assist in 713 minutes of play with the Dutch Lions.
