Botello Faz scored seven goals and tallied three assists for Lansing Ignite FC in 2019.
South Georgia Tormenta FC has signed forward Pato Botello Faz, the club announced Tuesday. Faz is Tormenta FC’s first new signing of the off-season, joining 11 returning players on the club’s current 2020 roster.
Faz helped Lansing Ignite FC to a second-place finish in League One last season, notching seven goals and three assists in 22 matches. The Mexican striker was named Player of the Week in Weeks 22 and 24 of the inaugural season, making him one of just four players to receive the honor on two different occasions in 2019.
Faz will be a welcomed addition to the South Georgia squad after John Miglarese’s men scored just 32 goals in 28 matches in 2019. The 23-year old will be tasked with leading the lines for a side that was shut out eight times and scored multiple goals in a match just seven times last season.
Faz joins 11 returners including the club’s 2019 leading goal-scorer Marco Micaletto and co-captains Josh Phelps and Pablo Jara on Tormenta FC’s current 2020 roster.
