Earned call-up after successful season with Forward Madison FC

Nunez led Forward Madison in chances created in 2019

Josiel Nunez has been named to the Panama National Team squad for the side’s two matches in November. The midfielder spent the 2019 USL League One season on loan with Forward Madison FC from C.D. Universitario of Liga Panamena de Futbol.

Nunez and Panama will host Mexico for a Concacaf Nations League match on Friday, November 15 and Bolivia for an international friendly on Tuesday, November 19. Both matches will be played at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City, Panama.

Nunez made his debut for the Panama National Team in 2014 and has earned 14 caps during his career. The November call-up comes after a successful League One season that saw him make 27 starts for Forward Madison. The 26-year old was an attacking catalyst for the Flamingos in the club’s inaugural season, leading FMFC in chances created (51) and dribbles completed (46) while contributing three goals and four assists.
