CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Chattanooga Red Wolves SC has signed forward Greg Hurst, the club announced Wednesday.

Hurst joins the Red Wolves from Scottish League Two side Stenhousemuir FC, where he scored two goals and tallied five assists in 15 appearances in 2019.

“We are pleased to welcome another quality player to our roster for the remainder of the season,” said Chattanooga Red Wolves SC President and General Manager Sean McDaniel. “Greg provides us with key depth offensively, and we are glad to have him with us for these crucial next eight weeks.”

Prior to joining Stenhousemuir, Hurst appeared in three matches for St. Johnstone FC of the Scottish Premiership in 2015 before being loaned out for the following three seasons to clubs in Scottish League One and Scottish League Two. While on loan, Hurst scored eleven goals in 50 appearances.

“I’m delighted to be joining Chattanooga Red Wolves SC for the remainder of the club’s inaugural season,” said Hurst. “The team has displayed strong form thus far, and I can’t wait to hit the ground running and join the fight for an inaugural League One championship.”

The Red Wolves currently sit in fifth place, tied on points with fourth place Forward Madison FC. Hurst will be available for the remainder of the League One season, beginning this Saturday when Chattanooga visits third place South Georgia Tormenta FC.
