Clever give-and-go capped by sharp first-time finish finished top in weekly poll

TAMPA, Fla. – Toronto FC II forward Jordan Perruzza has earned the USL League One Fan’s Choice Goal of the Week for Week 14 of the league’s inaugural season as a clever give-and-go that was capped by a fine low finish against Forward Madison FC last Friday night at the BMO Training Ground took top spot in the weekly online poll.

Perruzza’s team-leading fifth goal of the season came just before halftime in TFC II’s clash with the Flamingos. Picking up possession in midfield in the left channel, Perruzza played a pass centrally to Gideon Waja, whose return pass released him into the penalty area for a beautifully hit finish to the bottom-right corner.

Perruzza’s goal earned 56 percent of the poll conducted online at USLLeagueOne.com that concluded on Thursday lunchtime. North Texas SC’s Arturo Rodriguez finished second on 40 percent as he drove home a low finish from Jonathan Gomez’s pass to the top of the penalty area against Lansing Ignite FC last Saturday night, while his teammate Ronaldo Damus finished third for his precise curling finish against FC Tucson.
