TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One announced on Thursday the five nominees for the League One Player of the Month award for June, with top performers from the third full month of the league’s inaugural campaign selected for the ballot.
Voting in the USL Player of the Month Award will be conducted by the following two voting bodies:
The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, July 11.
Please note: The League One Player of the Month selections process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as League One Most Valuable Player or position players of the year.
USL League One Player of the Month – June
Ronaldo Damus, North Texas SC – Damus scored six goals in five games to move into the lead in the race for the Golden Boot as NTSC remained on top of the league standings.
Steven Beattie, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC – Beattie scored four goals in four games as the Red Wolves went undefeated over the course of the month to move into the playoff positions.
Dante Sealy, North Texas SC – Sealy had one goal and a league-best three assists for the month to help North Texas’ attack score 11 goals over the course of June.
Stefan Cleveland, Lansing Ignite FC – Cleveland recorded three shutouts and 24 saves – both the most by a goalkeeper over the month – as Ignite FC moved into the playoff positions.
Jordan Perruzza, Toronto FC II – Perruzza scored two goals and two assists over three appearances for the Reds to help keep his side in the hunt for the postseason.
