Chattanooga Red Wolves SC Signs Cisse and Jaimes from League Two Clubs

Players from Park City Red Wolves and Dalton Red Wolves sign first professional contracts

CHATTNOOGA, Tenn. –Chattanooga Red Wolves SC has signed Alexi Jaimes from Park City Red Wolves SC and Abdoulaye “YaYa” Cisse from Dalton Red Wolves SC the club announced Friday morning. 

Jaimes and Cisse are the first players to sign professional contracts with the League One side from their respective clubs.

“Signing Alexi and YaYa represents the importance of a true Path 2 Pro avenue for young, hungry players,” said Chattanooga Red Wolves SC President and General Manager Sean McDaniel. “

Prior to joining the Park City Red Wolves, Jaimes played collegiality at Salt Lake Community College where he led his team to an undefeated season in 2016. The Anaheim, California native earned First-Team All-Region for his performances during the 2016 season. Following his college career, Jaimes played nine matches for League Two side Ogden City SC in 2018. 

“Adding Alexi’s pace and athleticism to the first team is something we’ve been looking for,” said McDaniel. “He’s a great asset and we’re glad to call him up from our Park City squad as we strengthen our roster.”

 “I am extremely grateful for this opportunity that I have been given,” said Jaimes. “I want to thank everyone who has helped me through my journey so far. Coach Hankinson has put together an incredible squad and I’m super excited for this season!”   

Cisse joins Chattanooga Red Wolves SC from the club’s League Two side in Dalton, Georgia.

“From the moment he arrived, YaYa has proven that he is eager to play and contribute to the success of our first team,” said McDaniel. “This is a significant step for our club and perfectly represents the value of a clear path to professional play. This has been our goal all along, and it’s only the beginning.”

Prior to joining the Red Wolves organization, Cisse played collegiality at Eastern Florida State College, scoring nine goals and registering nine assists in 35 appearances. Cisse finished his collegiate career at Fort Hays State University where he earned two All-Conference First Team and two All-MIAA First Team honors. 

A native of Dallas, Texas, Cisse was a member of the FC Dallas youth system. The forward most recently played for former League Two side SIMA Aguilas, helping the team to a first-place finish in the Southeast Division.  

“It’s always been a dream of mine to become a professional athlete,” said Cisse.” My family and I are grateful to the Red Wolves organization and staff for giving me the opportunity to make that dream come true. I can’t wait to get started.”

Both Jaimes and Cisse are available for selection for Chattanooga Red Wolves SC’s match against FC Tucson Saturday night at Kino Sports Complex.
