TAMPA, Fla. – Forward Madison FC goalkeeper Ryan Coulter has earned the USL League One Fans’ Choice Save of the Week for Week 6 of the 2019 season as his game-saving stop late against Toronto FC II last Saturday night at Breese Stevens Field took top spot in the online poll that concluded on Friday lunchtime.
Coulter earned the award for the second time this season, having previously picked up the award in Week 4. His late save against Toronto proved crucial to earning the Flamingos their first home win in club history as he made a big one-on-one save late to deny an equalizer by Toronto’s Fito Ovalle with his left hand.
Coulter’s save earned 57 percent of the poll conducted online at USLLeagueOne.com that concluded on Friday morning. Greenville Triumph SC goalkeeper Dallas Jaye finished second with 39 percent for his double-save on a pair of close-range finishes by North Texas SC’s Dante Sealy, while Chattanooga Red Wolves SC’s Alex Mangels finished third for his reflex save on a close-range header by Orlando City B’s Thiago Souza.
