Tormenta FC comes from behind to defeat FC Tucson at home

TORMENTA FC (3), FC TUCSON (1)

STATESBORO, Ga. – Conner Antley led the way for Tormenta FC as the club claimed a second consecutive victory at Eagle Field to start the season 2-0-0. After a stunning Devin Vega free kick saw FC Tucson take the lead early on in the second half, it was Antley who imposed himself on the match to pull the hosts back level. Antley stepped around multiple tackles on his way to the end line before cutting the ball back to Lucas Coutinho who struck a low volley to equalize. Minutes later, Antley again provided the decisive pass to spring Alex Morrell free in behind the Tucson defense. Morrell made no mistake, rounding the goalkeeper and tucking the ball into the open net to score his second goal of the season. Antley played provider on the third goal as well, but Marco Micaletto’s skill from the corner of the penalty area created the chance. Micaletto chased down Antley’s pass, tricked his way past a Tucson defender and curled a left-footed shot into the side netting of the far post to seal the three points for Tormenta.
